Man has used silver to kill germs throughout recorded history. Here is an ancient anecdote from the writings of Herodotus, the Greek philosopher, dating this use of silver to before the birth of Christ. 

The Greek historian Herodotus, called the "Father of History", is one of our prime sources for information known about the fall of Babylon. Herodotus lived a century after the time of Daniel and traveled widely in the East. In his "Histories", we learn of the campaign of Persia's King Cyrus against Babylon. The details include the fact that no Persian king, including Cyrus, would drink the water of any stream other than the Choaspes, a river that flows past the Persian capital of Susa. Wherever the king went, a long train of four-wheeled mule wagons followed him transporting silver jars filled with boiled water from the river’s waters. The water would keep fresh for years during the long campaigns.

The Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and many peoples from the "Dark Ages" used silver in one form or another to preserve food and water. In the "Middle Ages," during the plagues, silverware protected the wealthy from the full brunt of its ravages. In the old west, pioneers used silver coins to preserve milk and water. In the last century, man was beginning to develop more sophisticated forms of silver to kill germs. 

The FDA Took Over

In 1938, the FDA was formed, Penicillin was introduced and the modern pharmaceutical industry began to dominate anti-microbial science. Since silver preparations were more expensive, they receded from favor. 

Silver Use in Modern Times

The use of some silver preparations in mainstream medicine has survived until this "Modern Age." Among them are the use of dilute silver nitrate in newborn babies' eyes to protect from infection and the use of "Silvadine," a silver based salve, in virtually every burn ward in America to kill infection. A new silver based bandage has recently been approved by the FDA and licensed for sale. 

Bacteria Becoming Resistant

Now, as many bacteria become resistant to pharmaceutical antibiotics, silver is emerging once more as a germ killer inside the human body. Hello,
My name is Melody Nail and I've been buying the silver and gold for a few months now. I started taking the silver when I read the testimonials about it helping Hep C, which I have. Well, I guess I have the virus, but no symptoms according to the doctors. Even though I'm tired alot, they blame it on getting older, no exercise, depression, sleeping disorders, menopause, and on and on. Anyway I have alot more energy after taking the silver and alot more will power since taking the gold. My mother has had a bout with a bladder infection for about a year. I finally asked to go with her to her doctor to talk to him about why it keeps coming back. Their answer was that that is what some older people have to put up with and to just take sulphur when she would feel it coming on. I couldn't believe it. I told my mom that I would get on the internet to try and find out how to help her. I had forgotten about the testimonials about bladder infections. When I did and search for bladder infections, your site came up again, just like when I did a search for Hep C. I can't thank you enough for posting all the testimonials and information you have. My family thinks I'm a little weird (sometimes alot weird) because of all the things I've tried for my Hep C, so I thought I might have a hard time convincing my mom to try it. Well, the sulphur wasn't helping her at all this time, so she was feeling very sick and very desperate. She was ready to try anything. She took some late that afternoon and was feeling better by that night. I can tell you she's a believer now!!! I printed out the testimonials and other info from your website and took it over to her. She has had some kind of fungus underneath her toenails forever, so she tried it on that.....it has cleared up. She's just estactic about it. She even asked me if she could try the gold!! I take the silver and swish it around in my mouth and swallow it. My dentist asked if I had started using the fuzzy side of the toothbrush, because he didn't have to scrape at my teeth to get them clean. I can't sing the praises for silver and gold enough!! Dear ~

After using CS for only several weeks, I have some good reports.  Sam and I have greatly increased energy, and we've noticed that CS heals scratches and insect bites almost overnight. CS also gives wonderful pain relief when applied topically.

Last Sat. night, I got a nasty cat bite while helping one of the new
critters.  I ran for the CS with blood flowing and dropped it in the
puncture wound because CS kills all known bacteria's & viruses.  After a couple minutes, I washed thoroughly with soap & dropped in more CS.  I soaked cotton with CS & taped it over the wound.  Sunday, half my hand was swollen, inflamed and sore, but as long as I kept soaking the cotton with CS, I had pain relief.  By Sunday night, all of a sudden I could move my hand freely & was able to prepare 30 lbs. of food.  I kept soaking the cotton covering the wound in the CS.  Monday a.m. the swelling was almost gone......and no infection.  Today (Tues.), the wound is almost 3/4 closed, & hardly any inflammation.  Normally, this type of deep muscle puncture wound would take 2-3 miserable weeks to progress this far.

Since we received the CS, we've also been giving it to the animals in
food & sometimes in their water.  I am thrilled to report that 2 cats
with chronic illnesses are both off the killer steroid drugs.  The kitty
with Pancreatitis has not thrown up once, and her coat is improving
every day. The kitty with Conjunctivitis has no symptoms either, & is full of energy.  I never dropped it in her eye, but just in the food and water.  Being a nutritionist, the animals all eat a natural healthy diet, with supplements & enzymes added to their food.

We are now making CS & just started giving it to family, friends &
co-workers.  After only a few days, one of Sam's co-workers with many allergies & serious fatigue has already noticed that she has more energy & feels better.  She said, "even my dog has more energy".  My sister applied it to a cut, & the cut was almost gone the next day.

You are both God-sends, as we never could afford to use CS so liberally without you, therefore we wouldn't have all these wonderful results.  We also want to thank-you for being so generous with your time and answers.

I purchased colloidal silver for different reasons other than sinusitis. But this I have to share. I have suffered from low-grade sinus for years. I only started colloidal silver advanced a month ago. The weather has been warmer than usual this year, but I have so far missed out on the end fall near winter cold I get twice a year in fall and spring. After taking colloidal silver for about a week, I had moments of smelling the wizard oil plug-ins that I have in my living room and kitchen. For the past two weeks I can smell these things all the time! I have to tell you, that in the beginning I could hardly stand it. It was so strong and so sweet smelling. I have not used the silver but once as a nasal spray, but I have had no hint of sinus since taking it and my sense of smell that I thought was forever lost most of the time is back and in full-full swing. I actually had to lower the plug-ins that are heated and the scent is oil down to the lowest notch just to be able to stand having them on! I had no idea my sense of smell had been so vague! All my friends knew, for they could not never understand why I could not smell them, for even to them that I was used to it was not comprehendible. They are strong smelling. The daily drops of flonase are gone forever, and with colloidal silver the uncomfortable feeling that bees were in my nose was not there the one time I used them for nasal spray. Also, I have so much more energy than before. Thanks a lot for letting me in on this product! I'm hooked for life! Also, the first day I took advanced c.s., my throat was sore. I gargled with it twice that day and would hold it in my throat for a few moments and my sore throat was gone by night, for I did not take it until I got home from work. I was so tickled to see it at my front door. In early fall I bought a case of Utopia Silver. I had a horrid winter 2001 with sinus/ear/throat/bronchial infections. I took enough antibiotics to choke a horse, not to mention the shots of cortisone and antibiotics to help the other stuff along - nor mentioning the truckloads of cough/sinus/antihistamine medicines I took too!
